Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport?
He began swimming in 2004 at age 10 in Minsk, Belarus.
Why this sport?
"When I was small, my parents tried to give my energy an outlet. I did so many things, like ballroom dancing, basketball and swimming in kindergarten. But I was a sickly child. Mum was advised to take me to the pool more often to improve my health and I really loved to swim and got seriously engaged in it. At age 10, a choice arose between ballroom dancing and swimming. I think it's clear what I chose. I have always enjoyed swimming and have never regretted that I connected my life with it."
