When and where did you begin this sport?
She began swimming at age three. She first tried competitive open water swimming at age 18 in Setubal, Portugal.
Why this sport?
"My first two tests at the sport failed, as I was afraid of open water swimming. My coach then entered me into an event in Setubal, Portugal, which went well. Afterwards I became more open to the discipline."
