When and where did you begin this sport?
He began swimming at age seven. "Before 2009 I did not watch swimming, since I was not interested in it as a sport. Then I started to love it, around the age of 14-15."
Why this sport?
"I started swimming at the age of seven, mostly for health reasons and to learn to swim, because I did not know how to swim in the sea. My parents encouraged me to start swimming at a young age."

In 2015 he received a special award from the Greek Olympic Committee after winning a silver medal at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, People's Republic of China.
