SCHOLARSHIP
In 2017 he was one of 36 swimmers from across the world to receive an International Swimming Federation [FINA] Scholarship, which was designed to help athletes qualify and participate at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. The scholarship also gave the athletes the option to train at FINA-approved training centres in Thailand, the United States of America or Senegal. "The training is definitely more specialised and specific to exactly what my body needs to perform. I have seen an overall physical change and it shows in the pool."
