SANCTION
He tested positive for the prohibited substance methylhexanamine at the 2012 Bolivarian Beach Games in Lima, Peru. He initially received a suspended six-month ban, but in October 2014 the International Swimming Federation [FINA] Doping Panel decided the suspension should have been enforced, and therefore nullified his results between November 2012 and May 2013.
