RETIREMENT THOUGHTS
When the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo were postponed to 2021, she said she began contemplating retirement. However, she ultimately decided to continue preparing for the Games. "The uncertainty during the forced quarantine was very unpleasant and so thoughts of the end of my career appeared in my mind. The Olympics mean a lot to me. I will always remember the first and it would be amazing to take part in three Olympic Games. My husband asked me if I realised I would have lots of free time after my swimming career. And when I realised that, I was a little sad about it. Once I do retire I'll rest, travel and focus on family." (Instagram profile, 03 Oct 2020; sport-litomerice.webnode.cz, 08 Sep 2020; ukforum.cz, 28 Jul 2020; idnes.cz, 25 Mar 2020)

Physiotherapy was a similar field and I'm glad I graduated. Kinanthropology is actually the science of human movement. I researched the connection between physiotherapy and swimming."
