Other information
In December 2020 she announced her retirement from the sport via Instagram. "I retired from swimming after the Japan Championships in December. There were many happy and painful things in my 20 years of swimming life, but I was happy to continue until this age with the support of many people who gave me a good environment. Thanks to the effort of everyone who fought with me, I was able to pursue my dreams." (Instagram profile, 28 Dec 2020)
