When and where did you begin this sport?
She began diving in the second grade of primary school.
Why this sport?
After getting involved in swimming and artistic gymnastics, she received a leaflet about a diving class at primary school and her mother encouraged her to try it.

She suffered a sprained ankle in March 2019 and could not train or compete for three weeks. (nikkei.com, 30 Nov 2019)

In July 2017 she hit her head on the springboard while performing a dive and needed 17 stitches to a wound. The injury also left her concussed and caused her to experience memory loss. (olympics.com, 07 Feb 2021)
