Sport Specific Information
When and where did you begin this sport?
She began artistic swimming at age seven with the Calgary Aquabelles Synchronised Swim Club in Alberta, Canada.
Why this sport?
She first tried swimming as both her parents worked at a swim club in Regina, SK, Canada, but did not like racing. A family friend who was the head coach of an artistic swimming club in Regina suggested she tried the sport. She was also into ballet, so after her family moved to Calgary she began artistic swimming. "I love working hard. I enjoy finishing practice and feeling like I accomplished a goal. I also like that it is a team sport and you are surrounded by friends."
