When and where did you begin this sport?
She took up the sport at age eight.
Why this sport?
Her parents encouraged her to start swimming to improve her fitness. She was then spotted by an artistic swimming coach. "I was not very strong when I was young, that was why my mother took me to swim. Around 1997 Macau planned on forming a synchronised swimming team. I can dance and swim so the coach selected me."

RETIREMENT
She retired after the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, and began pursuing a PhD in education at the University of Saint Joseph in Macau, alongside a research job at the university. She initially declined an offer to go into coaching artistic swimming. "For me, retirement means another chapter in my life. Maybe I will consider coaching again in the future."
