Other information
After winning her second Olympic gold medal in the team event at the 2020 Games in Tokyo, she decided to try competing as a solo artistic swimmer. "This thought was spinning in my head for a long time, and I was afraid to pronounce it. When I came with this to the personal trainer and the head coach of the national team, they were a little dumbfounded. Tatiana Nikolaevna [Pokrovskaya, national team coach] did not understand why I needed this. She asked, 'Do you really want this?' Yes, it's my dream. As a child, I was a solo performer and I missed those feelings. All this time I had to change my technique, my hands, my legs for the whole group. Plus I want to bring something of myself to the solo. I try to draw some moments from rhythmic gymnastics, theatre, figure skating. From all creative fields." (matchtv.ru, 16 Dec 2021)

In 2017 she started a sports management degree at Lomonosov Moscow State University in the Russian Federation. She has also studied English and Spanish. (rsport.ria.ru, 04 Sep 2017; Athlete, 16 Mar 2016)
