RETIREMENT
She retired from competitive open water swimming in September 2020. "I am truly grateful for everything swimming gave me. It made me the person I am today by challenging me every day. It was not always easy through major injuries. But it strengthened my personality. It made me resilient. I'm also grateful for all the countries I could travel to because of swimming. And I'm especially grateful for all the people I had the chance to meet all over the world." (Instagram profile, 12 Sep 2020)
