CHANGE OF VIEW
He says his outlook on the sport has changed following his doping suspension in 2016. "What happened to me made me realise that more than getting a time, it is enjoying the moment and what you do. SANCTION
In June 2016 he was removed from the Argentinian squad for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro after he was tested positive for the banned substance erythrocyte [EPO] at an event in April 2016 in Brazil. He admitted to taking anaemia medication that may have contained the substance. In July 2017 the Argentinian National Anti-Doping Organisation [ONAD] suspended him for 26 months, with the ban starting in June 2016. He was eligible to return to competition in August 2018. CONDITION
