At pre-school age she did ballroom dancing but did not like it. After learning to swim, her parents then saw an advertisement for artistic swimming and they met a coach who suggested she try it. |

VARIETY OF ROUTINES
She believes that the Ukrainian team's willingness to change their routines is reaping rewards at international level. "We do not present a single routine for a long time as is done, for example, by the Russian and Spanish teams. Perhaps this is why we are growing faster than others. She became the first athlete representing Ukraine to win 11 career medals in any sport at the aquatics world championships when she secured bronze in the women's team technical routine at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, Republic of Korea. She trains from 07:00 to 15:00 four days a week, with shortened workouts on Wednesdays and Saturdays and a day off on Sundays. Before major competitions, the training days are extended by an additional 90 minutes. |
