EYE CONDITION
She was sidelined for the majority of 2016 and 2017 after being diagnosed with glaucoma, a visual condition that damages the optic nerve. She considered retiring from the sport, before returned to competition in 2018. Upon her return to the sport, doctors advised her to switch from competing in platform to springboard events due to the condition. "I almost gave up diving. The first doctor said I wouldn't be able to dive anymore if I go through the operation as the chlorine could affect my eye.
