OLYMPIC TRIALS HEARTBREAK He finished third in the 200m breaststroke at the US Olympic Trials in 2016, and again in 2021, with only the top two swimmers advancing to the US Olympic swim team. In 2016 he missed a top-two finish by 0.14 seconds, while in 2021 he was 0.18 seconds short of second place and qualification.
