FROM UKRAINE TO RUSSIA She represented Ukraine at the world junior championships in 2012 and 2014. She began training in the Russian Federation in August 2014 and received Russian citizenship in 2015. She made her debut for the Russian Federation at the 2015 Hungarian Open in Budapest. Between age two and age eight she was involved in rhythmic gymnastics. However, there were few prospects to pursue the sport where she grew up so she decided to switch to artistic swimming because there was a strong sports school in the city. "This sport helps to not only have high sporting achievements but also to reveal yourself as a girl, as artistic swimming is a feminine and emotional sport." |
