RETIREMENT She retired from international sport after the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. (ffnatation.fr, 06 Aug 2018)
FRANCE TO GREECE AND BACK She was born in Paris, France, to a French mother and a Greek father. The family moved to Greece when she was an infant, but she returned to France at age 19 because the economic conditions in Greece were affecting her sporting career. "We were doing workouts with the Greece team, but no international competition. We did not have the budget. The training conditions became poor and the water was cold. Everyone stopped, but I did not want to. My coach told me to do tests in France because I had dual nationality." (rio-lympique.tumblr.com, 05 Feb 2015)
FURTHER EDUCATION She has studied journalism at the National Institute of Sport and Physical Education [INSEP] in collaboration with the Journalists Training Centre [CFJ] in Paris, France. (Twitter profile, 29 May 2018; ffnatation.fr, 11 Mar 2018) |
