ME TIME After winning five gold medals at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, he admitted to feeling fatigued in the months following the Games. "I think I overdid it, to be honest. I got great results, but I think it was to a fault. Because I drove myself crazy and I don't think that's fair to myself. I don't want to end up leaving the sport early or hating it because I didn't give myself time to respect the water and I feel like the water has always respected me. I would like to prioritise myself a little bit more instead of swimming." (swimmingworldmagazine.com, 22 Nov 2021)
PODCAST In late 2019 he launched a podcast with his housemate Ben Kennedy titled 'The Ben and Caeleb Show'. "I wanted something outside of swimming that I could put energy into, and I feel like people could really get a look into my life. I feel like I'm a little bit sheltered on social media. I'm not the biggest fan of social media. I share what I want. I don't really let my whole self out there. If you want the best way to get to know me [and] my career, things I'm struggling with even, things I'm thinking about, watch the podcast." (olympics.nbcsports.com, 28 May 2020) |
