Her younger sister Elinah represented the Virgin Islands, British in swimming at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. Her father Elsworth has served as coach of the Virgin Islands, British national swimming team, and as president of the British Virgin Islands Swim Federation [BVISF]. SCHOLARSHIP
In 2017 she was one of 36 swimmers from across the world to receive an International Swimming Federation [FINA] Scholarship, which was designed to help the athletes to qualify and participate at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. The scholarship also presented the athletes with the option to train at FINA-approved training centres in Thailand, Senegal and the United States of America. She was encouraged to learn how to swim by her mother. "She said that we lived on an island so it only made sense. I really enjoyed swimming, so I joined my first swim club and I've just stuck with it. [I liked] being care-free, the camaraderie of the sport and seeing I've done a personal best on the scoreboard." |

She took up the sport at age five. She began competing at age nine in Bristol, England. |

She and her younger sister Elinah became the first swimmers to represent the Virgin Islands, British at the world championships when they competed at the 2015 edition in Kazan, Russian Federation. The pair also became the first British Virgin Islanders to compete in swimming at the Commonwealth Games when they swam at the 2014 Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
