"I was at high school when people started noticing that I was good at swimming. To be honest, I was more interested in hockey and having fun with my friends. I was told, 'If you trained seriously you could really make a name for yourself in the world of swimming'. So I took notice and trained with the [Ladysmith] Marlins for two hours every day after school. Soon enough I was competing and winning events." |
