She first tried swimming as both her parents worked at a swim club in Regina, SK, Canada, but she did not like racing. A family friend, who was head coach of an artistic swimming club in Regina, suggested she tried the sport. She was also into ballet, so after her family moved to Calgary she began artistic swimming. "I love working hard. I enjoy finishing practice and feeling like I accomplished a goal. I also like that it is a team sport and you are surrounded by friends." |
