Sport Specific Information
Training Regime
She trains at the University of California Berkeley in the United States of America. "Katie [McLaughlin] and I are the only two pro swimmers on the women's team. We do everything that the college team does. I put a lot of emphasis on turns. Coming out of college [at the University of California Berkeley], we spent a lot of time on turns because short course is mostly turns. Learning the motion of the kick is important. Learning to kick up, not just down, is very important. We practise what to do when you miss a turn, particularly getting your speed back right away."

SWIMMING BESTIE
She and fellow US swimmer Katie McLaughlin were first paired as roommates at age 11. They have since trained together, studied at the same university, and won medals at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. "Katie is the type of friend who I have to call anytime I see or hear something funny. I just tell her anything. We've had such an amazing swimming journey. I have such a great memory of us being together at the same meet when we both made the 2014 national team, it was amazing to share that feeling with her."
