She suffered a sprained ankle in March 2019 and could not train or compete for three weeks. (nikkei.com, 30 Nov 2019)

In July 2017 she hit her head on the springboard while performing a dive and needed 17 stitches to a wound. The injury also left her concussed and caused her to experience memory loss. (olympics.com, 07 Feb 2021)
