CHANGE OF COACH
After the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, she decided to part ways with her coach of nine years, Gyorgy Turi, and start working with Peter Bernek who announced his retirement from competitive swimming after the 2020 Games. "After nine years, I felt the need to switch, not swimming, but environment. I think Gyorgy saw me, at the age of 20, as the same 11-year-old girl he started working with. But I already have my own ideas and thoughts. They may not be good, but they need to be experienced. I was able to switch more easily because I believed Gyorgy was about to retire. Then it turned out that he wasn't going to retire completely, but I needed a serious change of environment. [Peter] is a beginner coach, and he wants to prove himself. Of course, you have to know that he already has a lot of training plans in mind, he has prepared himself. He knows where I came from, what professional background I have behind me, what I have been doing for the last nine years, since we had been training together for two years.
