Sport Specific Information
Why this sport?
Sports were popular in his family as his mother was a competitive swimmer while his father played water polo. He practised football and swimming when he was younger, and had to make a choice between the two. "It was really hard. All my friends played football, and I used to play it on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We had [swim] meets at the same time as the football games, so I had to choose one. My dad was like, 'Go to the swim meet, and if you do well, stay with swimming. If you don't, you can come back to football'."
