RETIREMENT In August 2021, she announced her retirement from water polo. "It's time to say goodbye. After 14 years at Olympiacos and over 15 years in the Greek national team, and after fulfilling all my dreams and goals as an athlete, I made the decision to retire from the pool, which was my home for years. It's very difficult to express in words all that I feel after my decision to leave Olympiacos, the team of my heart, the team that became my family, and now I'm leaving and saying goodbye. I made the decision at the beginning of the year, after two very difficult seasons. What a wonderful trip this was." (Facebook profile, 29 Aug 2021; thenewspaper.gr, 29 Aug 2021)
