RETIREMENT In March 2020 she announced her retirement from competitive swimming. She transferred from the Army Sports Centre [CS Esercito] in Viareggio to the Alpine Military Corps in Brunico, Italy, to focus on her career in the armed forces. "The choice to retire was born from the feeling of satisfaction I felt towards open water swimming, or rather I was still happy to train, pursue the objectives set and obtain results, but it was not with 100% satisfaction. I recently started working in Brunico. Who knows, maybe in a few years I will consider the idea of passing on my passion to young swimmers."
