SURF LIFESAVING She got involved in surf lifesaving through coach Raphael Raymond, and the sport helped her when she was recovering from injuries that affected her swimming. "The only way to train with him was to enrol myself in surf lifesaving. I like both swimming and surf lifesaving, they are two different environments. At the beginning I did not know about lifesaving but Raymond wanted me to do it. It's fun, but it is harder than swimming. Surf lifesaving gave me back the will to focus on swimming and also allowed me to improve technically, especially in the turns. Mentally, surf lifesaving does me good. I can relax my mind, think about something else. I would like to continue doing surf lifesaving after I retire from swimming."
