RETIREMENT In March 2021 she announced her retirement from the sport. "I had realised for months that I would no longer persevere. All of these factors, from the COVID-19 pandemic to my shoulder injury, led to the realisation that I would have to end my career. I was not saying that I would not be able to take part at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and prepare for them with dignity, but given my character, I know that the goals I have set for myself could not be met in Tokyo. So it seemed wiser for me to give up. I recently took a swim coaching course, so at least that's how I'll stay in swimming. I will also be even more active in the family business. I hope to have my own swimming school someday. In short, I am fully employed." (vecerkoroska.com, 03 Dec 2021; siol.net, 04 Jul 2021; vecer.com, 19 Mar 2021) |
