"My brother was in a higher swim lesson group than me and I liked their name better. As for open water swimming, I used to spend the summer at my grandparents' place a lot and I spent a lot of time in the water. I did a pier-to-pier race aged 11 and instantly fell in love with ocean racing." |

REPRESENTING ISRAEL She represented the United States of America earlier in her career, but switched to compete for Israel in November 2017. She became eligible to represent her new nation in November 2018. "I'd never visited Israel before so I decided to come in September [2017] to test the waters before making my decision. An Israeli open water swimmer named Shahar Resman, who trained with me in New Hampshire, told me about the set up which helped my decision."
