Injuries
In December 2015 she tore her biceps femoris muscle [part of hamstring] and was unable to compete for three weeks. In early 2016 she had a relapse of the same injury. CAREER CHANGE
In June 2019 she was sworn in as a representative of the city council of Ceuta, a Spanish autonomous city located on the north coast of Africa. Her role involves overseeing the departments of sport and youth affairs in the city. MISSING WATER POLO
She no longer competes in water polo, and quit her role as coach of the men's team at the CN Caballa club in Ceuta in order to serve on the city council. "I miss it. I played for many years and love it, having fun in the pool and coaching the guys.
