PATIENCE He was dropped from the Montenegrin national team shortly before the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. After earning selection again, he was part of the team that won a bronze medal at the 2020 European Championships in Budapest, Hungary. "My story and fight for the national team can be an inspiration for young players. You have to believe in yourself, because this strength and will no one can take away from you. I believed that I had quality, I worked, I didn't give up. I eventually returned in Budapest. I hope it will keep on paying off for me." (vijesti.me, 29 Jan 2020)
PLAYING IN ITALY After spending two years playing for Hungarian club Debreceni VSC, in 2019 he joined Italian club CC Ortigia. "Since I was a child I always had the dream to play in Italy. When the opportunity came, I didn't think much. I had other offers, but I put CC Ortigia as my first priority. I have to be honest, people here are very polite and friendly. They love water polo. Once we played in Romania, and 20 Italian fans came to support us, all at their own expenses. The city and the people completely fell in love with me. I never really felt like I was a foreigner."
