PLAYING IN CROATIA
He joined Croatian club Dubrovnik in 2017 and believes the one season he played for them helped him mature as a player. "It was a super positive year. I played a different water polo. We had a very difficult Champions League group and I played a lot of top-level matches. It certainly helped me a lot to improve and grow from all points of view, first of all because it was my first year outside of Naples, and secondly because I discovered a different sporting culture." Why this sport?
"I became passionate about water polo because when I was around three or four years old I used to go swimming and once my training finished I saw the bigger boys who played water polo coming in. I was curious because of the fact it was a team sport and the ball. So I decided to begin playing it, and I loved it immediately."
