BREAK FROM SWIMMING
After failing to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she took a five-month break from the sport, which she used to finish her degree and spend time working as a coach. "I've been swimming competitively since I was 13, and I've never had a break longer than three or four weeks. I graduated from university in September [2016], and finished my degree. I had the time off and wanted to get back in by the end of it. I became head coach of a swimming programme for Energy Standard - it let me see things from another perspective and I'm glad I made a decision to go back."
