OLYMPIC MATURITY She won her first Olympic medal when she claimed silver at age 15 at the 2012 Games in London. "My story began from the other end with that medal in London. While people say that comes at the end or when you have had plenty of years in sport, I started with it. Those were complicated times as I had to have the commitment and responsibility, but also my personal demands for more, because I could not end my career at 15." After winning her second Olympic medal with bronze at the 2020 Games in Tokyo, she said she was enjoying the sport more than at age 15. "I do not feel like a 15-year-old girl, but I felt like I was at my first Olympic Games. That girl was not aware of where she was but in spite of that gave her all. Maybe Rio de Janeiro [2016 Olympic Games] was when I got a little lost and had self doubts. Now I feel like that girl, but more aware, mature, focused and happy. When I saw a photograph of me at 15 I wanted to get back the innocence and freshness I lost at that time. Now feel I am rescuing those things and adding up all I have learned."
