CHANGES In 2019 he decided to relocate from Bolzano to Caserta in Italy in order to start training under coach Andrea Sabino. He initially focused on mixed events but Sabino changed his approach and encouraged him target freestyle races. "I immediately believed in his potential. I was confident that I could take something important out of him. We decided that in order to achieve it we had to change everything and focus only on the 200m freestyle, so we abandoned the mixed events," Sabino said.
